How much does it cost to rent a car in Fort Lauderdale?

Is delivery included, or is it extra?
It is a separate $20 line for Fort Lauderdale, shown on the quote up front. Delivery is free in Hollywood and Dania Beach, and $30 in Aventura and Davie. There is no airport surcharge and no facility fee.
How soon can you deliver a car?
Same-day is often possible, but two things have to line up. We deliver seven days a week, Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm and Saturday and Sunday 8am to 2pm, so a late Friday request for that same evening is unlikely. Your verification also has to clear before a car leaves. Start early in the day and answer messages promptly.
Do you deliver on weekends?
Yes, both days. Saturday and Sunday deliveries run 8am to 2pm, which covers most weekend arrivals and cruise turnarounds at Port Everglades. Weekend slots are the first to fill, so book ahead where you can.
What do I need in order to book?
A valid driver's license, a credit or debit card in your own name, and identity verification you complete online. You also need liability coverage: if we can verify your own auto policy you pay nothing extra, and if not, renter liability is $33 a day. You must be at least 23, and there is no young-driver fee.
Is there a security deposit?
A $300 refundable hold on your card. It is an authorization rather than a charge, it is released after you return the car, and we capture against it only if there is damage. Tolls, mileage over the allowance and cleaning are billed separately.
What if my plans change?
Cancel at least 24 hours before your start time for a full refund. For extensions or a change of return time, message us before the scheduled return rather than after. With a small fleet the next renter is usually already booked, so early notice is what makes a change possible.

Amazing experience with Atlas Car Rental! The service was excellent from start to finish. Communication was great—he always responded quickly and made the entire rental process easy and stress-free. There were no hidden fees, the deposit was very reasonable, and everything was exactly as explained upfront. He was also extremely flexible with our drop-off time, which helped a lot with our travel plans. Our flight out of Fort Lauderdale ended up getting delayed, and we had to switch to a flight out of Miami. He even offered to give us a ride to Miami Airport, which was way above and beyond what I would expect from a rental company. Atlas may be a smaller company, but the customer service was better than what I’ve experienced with many of the big rental companies.
